Faculty & Staff Grants support projects that improve student learning through classroom initiatives, program development, and other related purposes. The Faculty & Staff Grant Program is made possible by the generosity of our donors.
Eligibility Guidelines
Applications may be submitted by Nashville State faculty and staff. Applicants must meet the following conditions in order to have their projects considered for funding:

Hold full-time status

Have at least one year of full-time service at Nashville State

Submit a completed proposal
Preferred Projects
Preference will be given to projects that benefit large numbers of students. Priority will be given to innovative ideas/solutions that align with the College’s strategic priorities. Measurable outcomes and likelihood of success are important factors to consider when preparing an application.
Funding Parameters
Grant awards are capped at $3,000 per funding cycle (academic year); please do not request more than the maximum award amount in your application. Please note that the following are NOT eligible for funding through the Faculty & Staff Grant Program:

Professional development, including conferences

Coursework taken for academic advancement

Travel

Political/lobbying activities

- The NSCC Foundation teamwill review all requests for funding. Proposals must be submitted by the announced due date to be considered.

Faculty & Staff Reporting Responsibility
Each grant is awarded on the premise that the project will have a defining impact on student learning. Individuals awarded grant funds must prepare a short report relating how the enrichment experience affected student learning at Nashville State Community College. Reports must be submitted to the Foundation’s Executive Committee or other appointees of the Foundation no later than one year beyond the period of the award and address the following areas:

Summary of major accomplishments or outcomes experienced by students

Number of students directly served by the grant

Personal/professional achievement(s) derived from the project

Limitations and/or recommendations for future projects
