At the Nashville State Community College Foundation, we advance our mission through a variety of strategic initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and community events—all aimed at supporting our students. Your generosity plays a vital role in breaking down financial barriers, empowering students to stay on track, and ensuring they have access to a high-quality education that can transform their lives and strengthen our community.

Initiatives

Our work centers on impactful initiatives that empower students to succeed and thrive.

Beyond Financial Aid

At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is Beyond Financial Aid- dismantling obstacles between students and success. When monetary challenges hit our students, we step in with rapid, targeted assistance including groceries, transit passes, childcare stipends, and emergency rent relief. Through our community's extraordinary generosity, hundreds of Nashville State students receive vital lifelines that transform potential derailments into detours and dreams stay within reach.

The NSCC Foundation serves over a thousand students each year.

Tuition and Fees Gap Coverage

Free two-year tuition is only a reality for some Tennesseans. Many Nashville State students navigate financial terrain that threatens their academic journey. When financial aid falls short, our support keeps learners enrolled, equipped, and moving forward with confidence. We cover gaps in tuition, program fees and digital course material costs. These aren’t extras, they’re essentials to keep students enrolled.

Scholarships and Endowments

Scholarships celebrate student achievement while unlocking education access for passionate learners in specialized fields. Donors shape criteria, support passion, and witness transformation firsthand. These investments can take shape as annual awards of any size, or be established as endowments of $10,000+, creating lasting support through interest earnings that sustain future scholars for generations.

Nashville GRAD and FLEX

Nashville GRAD and Nashville Flex deliver wraparound support designed for real lives. GRAD supports full-time students; Flex is tailored for part-time learners. Both programs offer targeted academic coaching and financial resources. Currently, GRAD and Flex are available to Davidson County residents on their path to completion.
